Site Description
Welcome to the dairy capital of Canada, the farm city of Woodstock. We are located about two hours from the city of Toronto. Maranatha CRC is a church situated on the western side of the city. We are a welcoming congregation and our SERVE host team is full of passionate people. We are excited to be hosting this year as we have seen the impact of other SERVE trips on our youth and we are excited to share this experience with other youth! We are excited to offer many different opportunities to volunteer in our community and other nearby communities.
Sleeping, showering, eating, and fellowshipping will take place at Maranatha CRC in Woodstock. There is air conditioning. Showering facilities are off-site for youth.
We’re off on a grand rafting adventure down the Grand River! Each group can take it at their own pace. A pizza picnic will be eaten on the shore during the ride down the river.
Get Directions
Registration fees do NOT include transportation to and from the sites. Each church group must provide vehicle(s) and adult driver(s) for the entire mission experience regardless of whether you fly or drive to the site. The vehicles you bring will be used to transport small groups to the work site each day, so 12-passenger vans or mini-vans are preferred. Cars do not facilitate the transportation of an entire small group in one vehicle, so please do not bring them. If you wish to bring a bus, please check with the Host Team to see if this is acceptable before you make arrangements. If your group is unable to provide van transportation, please have a youth leader call the ThereforeGo Ministries office to discuss options and additional charges.
London International Airport (YXU) or Hamilton International Airport (YHM) or Toronto International Airport (YYZ). Please DO NOT book airfare until you have received email confirmation from ThereforeGo Ministries that you have been placed at this site.
Bring a bathing suit, work pants/paint clothing, and make sure you have layers to wear because the weather can be unpredictable in southern Ontario!
